The government is making fun of bringing rotten rice: Rizvi

BNP's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, the government had imported rotten wheat before. Now importing Rotten rice. The government is mocking people's hunger. He said this at a press conference held at BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Friday (22 September).

He also said,  "Imported rice from Thailand is absolutely inadequate and extremely low quality." We think, Contrary to the Constitution, providing inappropriate rice or wheat grains. Through this, the government has not only done anti-constitutional activities, is working against humanity, is also making fun of the people's hunger.

The government started importing rice from different countries including Thailand due to floods due to floods in haor. From July 13 till now, 16 vessels carrying public-private sector imported into the port have come to the port.

Regarding OMS rice, Rizvi said, 'Low income people are not able to take OMS rice in open market. Dealers are compelled to force them for take that rice.
