Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan today laid emphasis on strengthening the activities of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) for accelerating industrial development in the region.
The adviser made the remark during a meeting with Indian High commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma at the Ministry of Industries in the capital, said a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed on various issues including cooperation in the field of industrial development between the two countries.
Pranay Verma emphasized on the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) for the development of the region.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Industries were present at the meeting.
