CRC meets leaders of professional bodies over constitution reform

The Constitution Reform Commission (CRC) today held a fresh meeting with the leaders of different professional bodies as part of its view-exchange with the stakeholders over the reform of the constitution.

The commission held meeting for the fifth consecutive day at the cabinet room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.

The CRC today held a meeting with Supreme Court Bar Association President Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Secretary General Kader Gani Chowdhury, Shahidul Islam, Advocate Shafikul Islam, FBCCI representative Nasrin Chowdhury, Chowdhury Mokimuddin KJ Ali, Jamil Uddin Milton, Engineer Kabir Hossain and Engineer Gias Uddin.

Presided over by CRC chairman Professor Ali Riaz, its members Prof Sumaiya Khayer, Barrister Imran Siddique, Prof Muhammad Ekramul Haque, Dr Sharif Bhuiyan, Barrister M Moin Alam Ferozi, Firoz Ahmed and Md Mustain Billah attended the meeting.

The Constitution Reform Commission earlier held meetings with the leaders of different professional bodies, constitution experts, eminent citizens, and rights body representatives over reform of the constitution.

The CRC is scheduled to hold similar meetings with different personalities and organizations in the next few days.
