A truce agreement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict may be reached within a 24-48 hours period if Israel accepts the demands of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, a spokesman for the movement told the AFP news agency on Sunday.
“If Israel agrees to Hamas’ demands, which include the return of displaced persons to the northern Gaza Strip and an increased humanitarian aid, it could pave the way for a truce agreement within the next 24-48 hours,” he said.
