Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty wind is likely to occur at different parts of the country in the next 24 hours from 9 am today, a met release said.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at several places over the country till 9am tomorrow”, it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northeast Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur and minimum temperature today was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Kutubdia.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was 102 millimeters (mm) at Srimangal.
