Normalcy returns to RMG sector

Normalcy has returned to the country’s garments sector as no crisis is reported in the garments at Savar, Ashulia, Narayanganj and Gazipur as of 8 am today.

Currently only one RMG factory (As per rule 13/1) out of 401 is closed throughout Savar-Ashulia area, according to a garment factory situation update issued from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.

All factories in Narayanganj area are open, while one factory out of 871 is closed throughout the Gazipur area.

One factory out of 301 is closed in Dhaka metropolitan area, the situation update said.
