President leaves for hometown Pabna tomorrow

President Mohammed Shahabuddin will leave here for his hometown Pabna on a three-day visit tomorrow afternoon.

“The President will address several gatherings and hold view-exchange meetings with a cross section of people, local elected representatives and different professional bodies there.” President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS today.

This will be his second visit to Pabna district after taking oath of the office on April 24 last as the 22nd President of the country.

The Head of the State will deliver his speech at a public gathering and enjoy a Boat Race at Sathiya upazila and will also inaugurate the construction work of the 500-bed hospital in the Pabna Medical College, according to programme schedule.

   

The President is scheduled to return to Dhaka on September 29.
